Welcome to our blog Pink Plus Grey Bricks.
We are Miss Pink (piggy) and Mr Grey (hippo), a husband and wife team who realised recently how much each other love Lego. We decided whilst renovating our home that this is not as fun as building with Lego and after the birth of our little girl late last year, it was a good enough excuse to start building up a nice collection, for when she is older (of course).
This will be a review-based blog and we will be post new sets when we nab them and find time to build, plus our older sets that we have amassed. We have a few larger sets, such as the modular buildings and large ships, which we can’t wait to photograph and put together (together). If we see any nice deals, bargains and promotions from Australian retailers we will certainly let everyone know, because everyone deserves cheap Lego.
So a little more information on us, we live in Sydney, Australia, both in our early-ish thirties and have a little girl that is growing ever too quickly to being a one-year-old. We both loved Lego when we were kids, but Mr Grey lost his way in his twenties, Miss Pink, lost her way by high school. Mr Grey has bought or received as gifts a few Lego sets in the last 5 or so years, they are mostly architecture sets and the modular Café that I will consider pulling apart and rebuilding for the blog. Miss Pink was lured out of the dark ages by Minifigs (where have they been hiding all my life??) and certainly has the best knack for ‘feeling’ for the characters she wants with such determination you would never believe. Together we look forward to really embracing the Lego world we have built around ourselves.
